Introduction

Tea Tree Gully Motocross Club incorporated is a community club and was founded in 1975 as a junior motocross club. The club was formed to accommodate the growing needs of local families who participated in off road motorcycle sports.
Originally starting at a small track on Crouch Road at Golden Grove, in 1984 the club moved to its current location at Para Valley Road Greenwith with the assistance of the City of Tea Tree Gully and the support of the local businesses.
Today the Tea Tree Gully MX Club as it is known is a junior and senior motocross club and enjoys a membership base of over 100 families and individual members. We host race meetings and practice days throughout the year.
Our riders vary in age from 4 to over 45 years of age.

Objectives

The objectives of the club are to provide a safe and controlled environment for off road motorcycle riding and racing.
The safety of our riders, officials and spectators is absolutely paramount.
We are affiliated with and participate under the rules and regulations of the national controlling body, Motorcycling Australia. Under the banner of Motorcycling Australia we run our racing and practice days to strict guidelines and we are fully covered by their national insurance.
In conjunction with Motorcycling Australia the club runs motorcycle training and coaching days with their accredited coaches so all members can have an opportunity to improve their riding and safety skills.
Our focus is to provide the members and their families with a safe and competitive, but social atmosphere. New members are always welcome.

Club management

The club is guided by a 10 person committee elected by the members in accordance with the rules of the club constitution. The committee is accountable to the members and is responsible for the day to day business management of the club. The committee also manages and maintains the track and the facilities.

Financial Support

The club is a non profit organization and relies on subscription fees, its canteen profit and the support of local business. The club does not receive any government funding. Without the support of the City of Tea Tree Gully and the club sponsors the Tea Tree Gully Motocross Club would not exist.
